本周日（8月27日）是国际电影日（National Cinema Day），加拿大和美国的3,000多家电影院将为观众提供为期一天的折扣：所有电影，不论电影形式和放映时间，票价均为4元，不含税费和在线预订费。

参与活动的加拿大电影院包括 Cineplex、Cinémas Ciné Entreprise、Imagine Cinemas、Landmark Cinemas 和 Magic Lantern Theatres。 此外，还有一些当地的独立电影院和汽车影院也参加了这项观影活动！
